I have read the news on yahoo that people are having security issue on Facebook and due to that many of them are planning to quit Facebook. As currently Facebook has 500 millionth user worldwide where only India has 10 millionth Facebook account holders.
Do you think it would be right to Quitting form Facebook.
I think Facebook is a phenominal platform that has connected people on the internet in ways never done before. I also think they got a little too aggressive with their actions to "monetize" the site which is what seems to have gotten them into trouble. Many of the users, me included, do not like when they change the site and automatically "opt you in" to certain changes without you really understanding them. Then you have to search and figure out how to "opt out" Also, because they want to make more money and their primary source of revenue is advertisements, they may have went too far with allowing 3rd party access to member information. Long story short... I would not quit Facebook, but would keep a close watch on there moves over the next few months to ensure they are looking out for your best interest and not their bank accounts best interest!
